Sunset Center Carmel

The Sunset Center in Carmel is one of the premiere venues in Monterey County for live entertainment in an intimate environment. Unlike some larger theaters with thousands and thousands of seats, every seat at the Sunset Center is a good seat and the acoustics are absolutely amazing.

During a recent show, famous trumpeter Chris Botti performed for a sold out crowd. The experience was unusual in the fact that he came out and played amidst the crowd. Not on a huge stage where you needed binoculars to view him - but actually in the aisles. At the end of the performance, he even invited someone he met earlier (an amateur drummer) from the crowd to come down on stage and "jam" with his band. Unbelievable and entertaining. 

The Sunset Center hosts a wide variety of events every year. For the 2011-2012 season, highlighted performances include:  Chris Botti, Howie Mandel, Kevin Bacon, the Nutcracker Ballet, Joan Rivers and Shirley MacLaine.
